September 2009 - Diversity is Key

Optimism is in the metro air with plans for Core to Shore, our first professional sports league, national news headlining "Oklahoma City defies recession!" (per a recent USA Today headline) and new businesses emerging all over the city. Everything seems to be pointing up, up, up or is it?

The public media has put Oklahoma on a pedestal that only views us as a state with high economic value statistics rather than how recession affects individual businesses on a personal level, especially the small guys. Whether recession is hitting you directly or indirectly, it's hitting you regardless. As a small- to medium-size architecture firm, the dregs of recession do linger around our office, but that has not stopped us from succeeding.
